Type 7 – The Enthusiast
Your drive is to stay free: options, experiences and nothing that pins you down.
This page describes one possible result of the quiz Enneagram test: what drives you?
What this means
Core motivation
You want to be happy and free, and you keep moving so that pain and boredom cannot catch up. Plans excite you more than their completion. There is always something better just ahead.
At your best
Joyful, quick and generous with energy. You lift rooms, you see possibilities, and you make hard times survivable for everyone around you.
Under stress
You scatter. Too many plans, too little finished, and a growing refusal to sit with anything uncomfortable. Restlessness gets mistaken for a reason to leave.
In relationships
You are fun, affectionate and easily bored. A partner who is interesting without being exhausting keeps you, and you keep them if you learn to stay for the dull parts.
One thing to try
Stay with one uncomfortable feeling for five minutes without fixing or escaping it.
About the quiz: Enneagram test: what drives you?
Most of what we do has a motive underneath it that we rarely name: to get it right, to be needed, to succeed, to be understood, to understand, to feel safe, to stay free, to stay in control, to keep the peace. This quiz puts you in 27 everyday situations and asks what you would actually do. The pattern in your answers points to one of nine core motivations. This nine-type model is known as the enneagram.
It takes about six minutes and there is nothing to sign up for. Nobody is only one type: you will see all nine scored, and the second-highest usually says something true as well. This is a reflective model, not a scientific measurement, and the page says so plainly.
How this quiz works
The quiz presents 27 situations with three answers each. Every answer gives two points to one of nine core motivations and one point to a neighbouring one, because real motives overlap. Each motivation is the main option in exactly nine answers, so no type is easier to get than another. Your result is the motivation with the most points; the bars show the others relative to it. A close second is worth reading too.
The nine-type model is often called the enneagram. The situations and type descriptions here are original kahur.ee content; we do not use any institute's questions, names or texts. The model is a reflective typology: it is widely used for self-reflection and coaching, but it does not have strong scientific validation and this quiz is not a psychological test. Nothing here is a diagnosis or advice. If you want a measured picture of your personality, take the Big Five test on this site.
